The Umarex 40XP is an air-powered action pistol for admirers of today's modern polymer-framed handguns. It features a blowback action slide, meaning it has a realistic movement that mimics the
feel of a firearm. The all-metal slide even locks open when the 40XP runs out of steel BBs, which are housed in a drop-free magazine that holds a capacity of 20 rounds. The valve system that
operates the slide efficiently distributes the CO2 that powers the action pistol. It also propels a steel BB at up to 400 feet per second. The magazine release is in the traditional thumb
release location, just behind the trigger guard at the top of the grip. Within the grip is housed a single 12-gram CO2 capsule (not included), which is accessed by flipping up the backstrap or
back of the grip. Fixed tactical sights, front and rear slide serrations, a slide release lever and an under-barrel Picatinny rail for mounting accessories are all modern features included on the
Umarex 40XP.
