| Yamata no Orochi literally means "8-branched giant snake" translated as the Eight-Forked Serpent in English, is a legendary 8-headed and 8-tailed Japanese dragon that was slain by the Shinto storm-god Susanoo. This very special authentic Musashi brand sword has a hand forged blade made from tough and durable T10 steel. The blade is hand forged and differentially hardened using traditional clay temper methods. The black iron tsuba shows a depiction of the Orochi and the handle is traditionally wrapped in authentic rayskin and black cord. The saya is wood and lacquered deep black.
